The Energy Minister highlighted that consumers benefit from a 15 paisa per unit reduction compared to the previous year, with agricultural consumers paying 55 paise per unit due to subsidies. The state met a record power demand of 8,005 MW, with 2.12 crore consumers. Initiatives include solar panel installations on government buildings and a solar battery storage system in development. Additionally, 62 lakh smart prepaid meters have been installed, and 250 new power substations are planned.
