Uttar Pradesh reallocates 48 acres to HCL-Foxconn for semiconductor plant, aiming to cut infrastructure delays under YEIDA.
The Uttar Pradesh government has reallocated approximately 48 acres of land to HCL-Foxconn for their semiconductor plant at a new location under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), aiming to reduce infrastructure and procedural delays. Initially, 50 acres were designated in Sector 10, but HCL requested a change due to anticipated delays in land acquisition and infrastructure development. The new location is in Sector 28. The LoI for this project is for an outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility. This will be the first chip production unit proposed in Uttar Pradesh.
