<h1>Government Seeks Approval for Additional Rs 51,462.86 Crore Spending; Key Allocations for Subsidies, Pensions, and Telecom</h1> The government has requested parliamentary approval to spend an additional Rs 51,462.86 crore in the current fiscal year ending March. The gross additional spending is over Rs 6.78 lakh crore, offset by savings and receipts. Key allocations include Rs 14,100 crore for fertiliser subsidies, Rs 13,449 crore for government employee pensions, Rs 8,476 crore for defense pensions, and Rs 5,322 crore for telecommunications. Additionally, Rs 2,186 crore is allocated to agriculture and Rs 3,722 crore to Jammu & Kashmir to address resource gaps.
