This change, part of the new Excise Policy for 2025-26, aims to reduce smuggling and stabilize the market by maintaining uniform liquor prices. The Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation Limited will continue managing the wholesale procurement and distribution of foreign liquor, while the infrastructure development fee remains unchanged. Additionally, the state has approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Vyakti Vikas Kendra India for rural livelihood and welfare initiatives.
