The work, part of a Rs 62.18 crore project, involves platform extension, shifting overhead cables, connecting signal systems, and laying new tracks. As a result, 59 suburban services and six long-distance trains will be canceled over the weekend. Many other trains will face short terminations, origins, or diversions. The regular Sunday mega block has been canceled due to this work.
