<h1>Jharkhand boosts dearness allowance for employees and pensioners; approves MSME Bill and women's night shift amendments.</h1> The Jharkhand government has approved a 7% increase in the dearness allowance for its employees, effective from July 1 of the previous year, raising it to 246% under the sixth central pay commission. A similar increase applies to pensioners. For employees under the fifth pay commission, the DA was increased to 455% from 443%, effective July 1, 2024. The cabinet, led by the Chief Minister, also approved several other proposals, including the Jharkhand MSME Special Exemption Bill, 2025, and amendments to the Factories Bill to permit women to work night shifts with consent.
