Airlines, including Air India and Indigo, are eager to enhance global connectivity from the airport, which is strategically located near the Noida expressway. A validation flight was conducted in December, and preparations are on schedule. Additionally, the UDAN scheme, aimed at improving regional air connectivity, will be extended for ten more years, and the government plans to establish 100 new airports nationwide. The Kushinagar airport is also expected to open soon.
