of <h1>Odisha's Chief Minister launches second semiconductor unit with Rs 2,500 crore investment to boost electronics manufacturing.</h1> Odisha's Chief Minister conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the state's second semiconductor unit, to be established with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore by SiCSem Private Ltd in Bhubaneswar. The event was part of the 'Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave'. The facility will focus on manufacturing electronic power devices for sectors such as electric vehicles, energy storage, and green energy. This project aligns with the national vision to position India as a global semiconductor hub. Previously, a silicon carbide manufacturing unit by another company was initiated in September 2024.
