The meetings aimed to find a solution and prevent pollution. The Municipal Corporation has initiated a tender for a contractor to collect cow dung from dairy units. Until then, farmers are asked to use designated dumping sites and have agreed to pay for door-to-door collection services once available. The officials also inspected an effluent treatment plant and discussed plans for two new biogas plants to utilize cow dung for energy production.
