Sensex and Nifty Rise for Second Day, Boosted by Reliance, Zomato, and Kotak Mahindra; Global Markets Mostly Positive.

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty rose for the second consecutive day, driven by gains in Reliance Industries, Zomato, and Kotak Mahindra Bank amid a generally positive global market trend. The Sensex increased by 224.45 points, closing at 76,724.08, while the Nifty rose by 37.15 points to 23,213.20. Major gainers included Zomato, NTPC, and Power Grid, while Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Finserv were among the laggards. Asian markets showed mixed results, with Hong Kong positive, and European and US markets mostly higher. Brent crude oil increased to USD 80.22 per barrel. Foreign Institutional Investors sold equities worth Rs 8,132.26 crore.
