<h1>India's Core Sector Growth Slows to 4.3% in November 2024; Cement Output Surges to 13.</h1> The output of eight key infrastructure sectors in India grew by 4.3% in November 2024, a decline from the 7.9% growth seen in the same month the previous year. Despite this annual slowdown, monthly growth reached a four-month high, increasing from 3.7% in October 2024. Crude oil and natural gas production contracted, while growth in coal, refinery products, fertilizer, steel, and electricity production moderated. Cement output, however, rose significantly to 13%. Overall, core sector growth from April to November 2024 was 4.2%, down from 8.7% in the previous fiscal period. These sectors contribute significantly to the Index of Industrial Production.
