<h1>Sensex and Nifty End 2024 Lower Amid Foreign Fund Outflows, But Show Annual Gains of Over 8% Each.</h1> Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed lower in the final session of 2024 due to persistent foreign fund outflows and weak global market trends. The Sensex dropped 109.12 points to 78,139.01, while the Nifty fell slightly to 23,644.80. Despite the decline, Sensex gained 8.16% and Nifty 8.80% over the year. Major laggards included Tech Mahindra and Infosys, while Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tata Motors were gainers. Foreign Institutional Investors sold equities worth Rs 1,893.16 crore. Asian markets showed mixed results, and European markets were mostly higher, with US markets ending lower. Brent crude rose to USD 74.34 a barrel.
