<h1>Rotary and Partners Launch Tailoring Skill Centre in Chennai, Empowering Women with Free Training and Sewing Machines.</h1> Rotary International District 3234, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras and other partners, inaugurated a Tailoring Skill Development Centre at Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women in Chennai. The centre offers a free 3-month tailoring course for women, supported by the Tamil Nadu Government's Skill Development Department. At the event, 200 power sewing machines, valued at Rs 20 lakhs, were distributed to women from existing skill development centres. The initiative aims to empower women by providing training and resources to start their own tailoring businesses, with plans to train 1500 women annually.
