<h1>Dr. Arunish Chawla Appointed Secretary of Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.</h1> Dr. Arunish Chawla has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet confirmed his appointment. Previously, he served as Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals within the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. Dr. Chawla, an IAS officer from the Bihar cadre, has held roles such as Managing Director of the Metro Rail Project Patna, Senior Economist at the IMF, and Minister (Economic) at the Indian Embassy in Washington DC. He holds a Masters and Doctorate in Economics from the London School of Economics.
