Customs Cargo Service Providers See Reduced Insurance Days and License Renewal Exemptions for AEO Compliance.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has introduced relaxations for Customs Cargo Service Providers (CCSPs) to reduce costs and compliance burdens. The number of days required for insuring storage goods has been reduced from 10 to 5, enhancing cash flow for entities. Additionally, CCSPs compliant with international standards (AEO) are exempt from the license renewal process, aligning their licenses with AEO authorization. These measures aim to improve the efficiency of export-import operations and support global trade, aligning with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan's goals of enhancing logistics infrastructure and sustainable development.
