<h1>Over 528 million PM Jan-Dhan accounts opened, boosting financial inclusion; 55.6% held by women, 66.6% in rural areas.</h1> As of July 19, 2024, 52.81 crore PM Jan-Dhan accounts with a deposit balance of Rs. 2,30,792 crore have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), with 55.6% belonging to women and 66.6% in rural and semi-urban areas. The initiative aims to enhance financial inclusion. Additionally, various social security and credit-linked schemes have been launched, including Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stand-Up India Scheme, PM Vishwakarma Scheme, and PMSVANidhi, targeting diverse financial and entrepreneurial support needs.
