Preventive and Intelligence cell, Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), New Delhi achieved a major breakthrough in busting pan-Delhi level drug syndicate involved in supply of various types of narcotics, psychotropic and synthetic drugs for high profile parties.
Acting upon the specific information, joint preventive team of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) Delhi and Gwalior, on 27th Feb 2023, nabbed two foreign nationals supplying commercial quantities of synthetic drugs MDMA and cocaine concealed in their undergarments. They were asked about the premise from where they picked up these drugs. As a follow up action, search was carried out at three suspected addresses in Suman Chowk, Chattarpur, Delhi, as mentioned by them wherein suspected narcotics drugs were again recovered.
A total of 35 grams of MDMA, 6 grams of MD pills (Ecstasy/Molly), 12.5 grams of cocaine and 386 grams of suspected drug/psychotropic powder were recovered and seized under the relevant provisions of NDPS Act, 1985. As per NDPS Act 1985, 10 grams of MDMA/Ecstasy is considered as "Commercial quantity". Three Scooties used for supplying drugs were also seized. Weighing machines and packing materials et.al were recovered and seized under the provisions of NDPS Act, 1985.
A total of two foreign nationals (one from Nigeria and other from Republic of Cote d'ivoire) have been arrested under relevant provisions of NDPS Act, 1985. Embassies of Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire have been informed through proper channel accordingly.
