<h1>India's December 2020 Trade: Exports Down 0.80%, Imports Up 7.6%, Trade Deficit Rises to $15.71 Billion.</h1> India's merchandise exports in December 2020 were $26.89 billion, a slight decrease of 0.80% from December 2019. Imports increased by 7.6% to $42.60 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of $15.71 billion, up from $12.49 billion in the previous year. Non-petroleum and non-gems and jewelry exports grew by 5.17% to $22.15 billion. Oil imports decreased by 10.37%, while non-oil imports rose by 14.27%. Key export growth was seen in cereals, oil meals, and iron ore, while imports of silver, newsprint, and leather products declined significantly.
