India, a consistent participant since 1970, is the third-largest global economy in terms of PPPs, contributing 6.7% to the global GDP, following China and the United States. Regionally, India ranks second in the Asia-Pacific, accounting for 20.83% of the regional GDP. The Indian Rupee's PPP per US Dollar increased from 15.55 in 2011 to 20.65 in 2017, with a Price Level Index of 47.55. The next ICP comparison is scheduled for 2021.
