<h1>Rail connectivity expanded: new Sahjanwa-Dohrighat line to create an alternate route and generate construction jobs.</h1> Approval has been granted for construction of an 81.17 km new railway line between Sahjanwa and Dohrighat to complete a missing link and provide an alternate route avoiding Gorakhpur, to be executed by the Construction Organization of North Eastern Railway. The project will serve a densely populated, economically backward area deficient in road transport, support small-scale industry growth, relieve congestion by enabling an alternate Chhapra-Lucknow corridor, and generate substantial direct employment during construction.
