From 2015, the introduction of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and Aadhaar Linked Payments (ALP) has streamlined wage payments, increasing e-payments from 77.34% in 2014-15 to 99% in 2018-19. In drought-affected areas, work supply rose by 20%, with a 44% increase in enrollment, compared to 19% in unaffected areas. The program now benefits 87.51% of workers through Aadhaar-based payments. The focus remains on enhancing livelihoods and diversifying income sources, with an emphasis on skill development and asset creation.
