<h1>Customs Act Update: Revised Tariff Values for Oils, Brass, Poppy Seeds, Areca Nuts, Gold, and Silver Announced.</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has amended the tariff values for various commodities under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values include crude palm oil at $525 per metric tonne, RBD palm oil at $556, and crude soyabean oil at $709. Brass scrap is valued at $3487, poppy seeds at $3350, and areca nuts at $3920 per metric tonne. Gold is set at $430 per 10 grams, and silver at $477 per kilogram. These changes are part of the notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.) and reflect updated valuations for import duties.
