<h1>India's Indirect Tax Collection Hits Rs. 6.12 Lakh Crore; Govt Implements Measures to Meet Rs. 11.16 Lakh Crore Target.</h1> The total net indirect tax collection in India for the financial year 2018-19 from April to November amounted to Rs. 6,12,653.47 crore. The full-year revenue target is set at Rs. 11,16,000 crore. To meet this target, the government has implemented measures such as GST rate rationalization, mandatory e-filing and e-payment of taxes, penalties for delays, and compliance verification using third-party sources. These efforts aim to enhance tax compliance and collection efficiency. The information was provided by the Minister of State for Finance in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
