15th Finance Commission will visit the state of Arunachal Pradesh from 5th to 8th April 2018. The Commission will have meetings with Chief Minister, Dy. Chief Minister, Ministers and other officials of the state. Detailed presentations will be made on the finances of the State Government. The Commission will also meet leaders of various political parties, Presidents of Tribal Associations, Women Representatives, Chambers of Commerce, Captains of Businesses, Progressive farmers and other stakeholders to understand the opportunities and the challenges in the state.

There will also be interactive session with Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions. The Commission will meet the Governor Brigadier (Dr.) B. D. Mishra.

Arunachal Pradesh, first state in the Commission's itinerary

As part of its consultation process with state govt.s, the 15th Finance Commission will start with the eastern most state of the country.

Finance Commission consultation leads to state-level review of finances and stakeholder consultations in Arunachal Pradesh. 15th Finance Commission will undertake a state-level consultation in Arunachal Pradesh, conducting detailed presentations and a review of the State Government's finances and meeting the Chief Minister, state ministers and senior officials. The Commission will engage political leaders, tribal associations, women representatives, chambers of commerce, business leaders, progressive farmers and other stakeholders, and hold interactive sessions with Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions, including a meeting with the Governor to inform its assessment.
