Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) under Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved two projects under ‘Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS)’ for development of industrial clusters at Hindupur and Bobbili in the respective districts of Ananatapur and Vizianagaram of Andhra Pradesh. Details of the projects are given below:

The objective of the above projects is to provide quality and reliable infrastructure to industrial units located in these clusters; specifically these projects aim to provide road network, drainage, power and water supply networks and some other common services like health centres, canteens, crèches, dormitories, parking areas, etc. These projects are likely to be functional by 31st March, 2018.
These projects have employment potential of about 5500 persons (direct) and 8500 persons (indirect).

Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme approval for two Andhra Pradesh clusters to upgrade infrastructure and boost employment. Approval under the Modified Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (MIIUS) was granted for two Andhra Pradesh industrial cluster projects-Hindupur/Gollapuram and Bobbili-approved 1 March 2016 with project costs and central grants (partly released) to fund roads, drainage, power, water and ancillary services; projects are intended to be functional by 31 March 2018 with stated direct and indirect employment potential.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
