<h1>Over 460 Non-Official Director Vacancies in CPSEs and PSBs; Search Committees Seek Candidates for Appointments.</h1> Non-official Directors for Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) are appointed by administrative Ministries based on Search Committee recommendations and competent authority approval. Similarly, a Search Committee recommends appointments for non-official Directors in Public Sector Banks (PSBs). From 2014 to 2016, the committee recommended candidates for 103, 144, and 233 CPSE positions, respectively. Currently, there are 360 and 104 vacancies in CPSEs and PSBs. The Department of Public Enterprises requests Ministries to propose candidates for CPSE vacancies, while PSB appointments are made through periodic Search Committee meetings.
