<h1>India's Financial Inclusion Boost: Over 26 Crore Accounts Opened, Rs. 7.5 Lakh Crore in Agri Credit by Dec 2016.</h1> As of December 2016, significant progress was made under various financial inclusion schemes in India. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) saw the opening of 26.03 crore accounts, with deposits totaling Rs. 71,557.90 crore. The Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) registered 51,745 claims, out of which 48,023 were disbursed. The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) enrolled 38.23 lakh subscribers, accumulating a pension wealth of Rs. 1,344.70 crore. Under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Rs. 77,916.54 crore was disbursed to 2.12 crore borrowers, including 1.68 crore women entrepreneurs. Additionally, agriculture credit disbursement reached Rs. 7,55,995.16 crore, achieving 84% of the annual target.
