of <h1>India Expands MEIS: 2,901 New Products, Increased Incentives for Exporters Amid Global Challenges.</h1> The Indian government has announced enhancements to the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) to support exporters facing a challenging global environment. The scheme now includes 2,901 additional products across various categories such as traditional medicines, marine products, processed foods, and industrial goods. Furthermore, the incentive rates for 575 products have been increased, covering items like iron and steel, handicrafts, and industrial machinery. This expansion raises the total number of products under MEIS from 5,012 to 7,103, with annual government support increasing from Rs. 22,000 crore to Rs. 23,500 crore.
