The draft Rules to further amend the Trade Mark Rules, 2002 which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 157 of the Trade Mark Act, 1999 ( 47 0f 1999), were published on 17th November, 2015 for information of all persons likely to be affected, inviting objections or suggestions, if any, with an indication that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of publication in the Gazette of India.
It is hereby notified that the last date for consideration of objections or suggestions on the draft Rules shall be extended for a further period of Fifteen days from 17th December, 2015.
Objections or suggestion, if any, may be addressed to the Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion), Government of India, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi or by e-mail at Sahni.palka @nic.in. by 01.01.2016.
Extension of consultation period for proposed Trade Marks Rules amendments allows further consideration and late submissions to DIPP.
