On the basis of inputs/suggestions received from stakeholders on the policy and operational framework of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Scheme, Government periodically takes necessary measures so as to facilitate speedy and effective implementation of SEZ Scheme. The contribution of SEZ exports and country’s exports during the last four years (upto 31st December, 2014) is as under:

Major exports from SEZs constitute a wide spectrum of goods and services ranging from Engineering, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Petro chemicals, Apparels and Garments, Gems and Jewellery, IT/ITES etc.

SEZ export contribution highlighted as government reiterates measures to facilitate SEZ scheme implementation and major export sectors. Government measures to facilitate implementation of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Scheme are influenced by stakeholder inputs and aim to speed and improve operational effectiveness.
