<h1>CBEC Announces New Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion in Imports/Exports, Effective March 6, 2015, u/s 14.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has announced new exchange rates for converting foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported and export goods, effective from March 6, 2015. This notification supersedes the previous one issued on February 19, 2015. The rates are specified for various currencies, including the US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, and others, with distinct rates for imports and exports. For instance, the US Dollar is set at 62.80 for imports and 61.80 for exports. These rates are determined under Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962.
