Following cancellation of registration certificate, the company cannot transact the business of non-banking financial institution as laid down under clause (a) of Section 45-I of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

Cancellation of NBFC registration bars affected companies from carrying on non banking financial business under RBI Act. Cancellation of registration certificates of specified non banking financial companies was effected under the Reserve Bank's statutory power, removing their authority to operate as NBFCs; the affected companies cannot transact the business of a non banking financial institution as defined under clause (a) of Section 45 I of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
