<h1>February 2014 Industrial Production Declines 1.9%; Manufacturing Drops 3.7%, Electricity Surges 11.5%, Consumer Goods Down 4.5.</h1> The Central Statistics Office released the Quick Estimates of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for February 2014, showing a 1.9% decline compared to February 2013. The cumulative growth from April 2013 to February 2014 was -0.1%. In February 2014, the mining, manufacturing, and electricity sectors showed growth rates of 1.4%, -3.7%, and 11.5%, respectively. Thirteen out of twenty-two manufacturing industry groups experienced negative growth, with Radio, TV, and communication equipment showing the highest decline. Basic goods grew by 3.9%, while capital goods fell by 17.4%. Consumer goods saw an overall decline of 4.5%.
