The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 61.8605 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 85.3085 on March 03, 2014. The corresponding rates for the previous day (February 28, 2014) were Rs. 62.0720 and Rs. 85.0285 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate publication updates exchange benchmarks and sets cross currency derived rates for other currencies today. The Reserve Bank of India published Reference Rates for the US dollar and the Euro as the official rupee exchange benchmarks, compared them with the previous business day's rates, and-using the US dollar reference and middle cross currency quotes-provided derived rates for the pound sterling and the Japanese yen; the SDR Rupee rate is stated to be based on the published reference rate.
