During the Current Financial Year, a total of 1,107 Investor Awareness Programmes have been organized by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in various parts of the country (till the end of November) through its 3 Professional Institutes: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. During November, a total of 306 programmes were organized.
During the last Financial Year a total of 1,986 Investor Awareness Programmes were organized. For these Programmes, an amount of Rs. 5 crore has been earmarked in the budget of the Ministry.
In recent months, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started organizing the Investor Awareness Programmes in the rural areas of the country also. For this the Ministry has engaged the services of CSC e-Governance Services India Limited.
Investor awareness programmes expanded nationally and into rural areas, funded and delivered through professional institutes and CSC. Ministry-organised Investor Awareness Programmes reached 1,107 events in the current financial year through three professional institutes, including 306 programmes in November, supported by a specific budgetary allocation. The initiative, following a prior year total of 1,986 programmes, has been extended into rural areas by engaging CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to enhance delivery and outreach.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
