The Reserve Bank of India’s Reference Rate for the US dollar is Rs. 63.2955 and the Reference Rate for Euro is Rs. 84.5950 on November 11, 2013. The corresponding rates for the previous day (November 8, 2013) were Rs. 62.7315 and Rs. 84.0625 respectively. Based on the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of GBP and JPY against the Rupee are given below:

Reference rate announcement sets currency exchange benchmarks and informs SDR Rupee linkage to the reference rate. Announcement of the Reference Rate for major currencies sets official exchange benchmarks: the Reserve Bank published the Reference Rate for the US dollar and the Euro, provided prior-day comparatives, derived GBP and JPY rates from cross-currency middle rates, and stated that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published Reference Rate.
