        The Union Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram will address trade/industry/service associations and Chambers of Commerce &Industry at Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai on Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme (VCES) 2013. The Finance Minister Shri Chidambram wiil address the representatives and members of the various trade/industry/service associations and chambers in Chennai on 9th November, Delhi on 11th November and Mumbai on 14th November, 2013.   The Minister of State (Revenue) Shri J.D. Seelam will also be present at these meetings.

        Service Tax Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme (VCES) 2013 has been introduced with effect from 10th May, 2013 as a one-time amnesty scheme to enable the service tax defaulters to pay the service tax dues for the period 01.10.2007 to 31.12.2012 without interest and penalty.
