Directorate of Enforcement leadership and delegated appointment authority govern enforcement staffing and powers under the Act.

The Central Government shall constitute a Directorate of Enforcement headed by a Director and other officers to administer the Act; the Central Government may authorise the Director, Additional Director, Special Director or a Deputy Director to appoint officers of Enforcement below the rank of Assistant Director, and those officers shall exercise powers and duties under the Act subject to conditions and limitations imposed by the Central Government.
