        CESTAT directed the adjudicating authority to complete adjudication of the show-cause notice within four weeks of receipt of the order and disposed of the appeal; provisional release was not granted unconditionally. The seized imported consignment (broken cashew nuts concealed in wood-powder; seizure 17.10.2024; SCN dated 02.04.2025) remains subject to inspection and certification by food safety authorities to determine edibility and FSSAI compliance. The appellant may seek provisional release in future upon production of FSSAI certification and a valid bank guarantee or bond as required; the department must permit access for inspection. Non-cooperation or non-adjudication may justify further applications for extension or provisional relief.
