A government authority has allocated a quota of 5,841 metric tons of sugar for export from India to the European Union under the tariff rate quota for the year 2025-26. The export is permitted free of duty subject to specified conditions. Certificates of origin for preferential export will be issued based on recommendations from the designated agricultural export body, which will also manage the quota's implementation.
