of The HC allowed the applications for grant of bail to the petitioners in a money laundering case involving unexplained sources of income. Despite being in judicial custody for 14 months with the investigation against them complete, the trial was unlikely to commence soon. Observing their prolonged incarceration would infringe their Article 21 rights, the HC held they had satisfactorily diluted the twin conditions u/s 45 of the PMLA, 2002. The petitioners were directed to be released on bail on executing bonds with conditions imposed to allay apprehensions of fleeing justice.
