4% Additional Duty

Pramod Kumar Mishra

Can 1st Stage Dealer/2nd Stage Dealer/Importer pass 4% additional duty to the customer? if yes Notification/Circular? Please

Dealers Can Pass 4% Additional Duty to Customers; Traders May Seek Refund as per Specific Notifications A query was raised regarding whether a first stage dealer, second stage dealer, or importer can pass a 4% additional duty to the customer, and if so, which notification or circular supports this. One response confirmed that both first and second stage dealers can pass on the duty and suggested traders could seek a refund, referencing specific notifications. Another response criticized the approach of seeking information without contributing personal insights, suggesting the forum should be used for sharing views rather than merely gathering information. In submit view/ discussion the sender should send his view and then seek view of others. otherwise it will jsut become a forum to seek information. this is not a subject matter for discussion. It is a matter of gathering information which one must try. Or at lest one should send his views and information then seek vies of others. this is my personal view. dev kumar kothari
