Goods Sent from DTA to SEZ Units Are Exports, No Exemption from Sealing Requirements Under Export Provisions A participant raised a query regarding the requirement to seal materials dispatched from a Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units, as customs officers consider these dispatches as exports. The participant sought clarification on whether there is an exemption from sealing and requested information on relevant notifications. In response, it was clarified that no specific exemption exists; goods sent from DTA to SEZ units are treated as exports, and all standard export provisions apply. (AI Summary)
