Client Queries Bond Execution for SEZ Supplies Under Central Excise Rules; Seeks CT-1 Form from XYZ for Compliance A client received an order from a company, XYZ, with the consignee being a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). According to Central Excise SEZ rules, goods supplied to SEZs are treated as exports and can be cleared under ARE-1 with a bond. The client has not executed any bond with excise authorities and has asked XYZ to execute a bond and provide a CT-1 form. A response suggests that for merchant exports, materials can be procured from the manufacturer on CT-1, implying the same should apply to materials supplied to SEZ units. (AI Summary)
