IEC issues (Digital Signature)

Now Digital Signature is mandatory for a fresh application in IEC.

If you look into dgft website you will find three agencies sell Class 2 & Class 3 Digital signature. I had also called them but they told if you want to purchase dgft digital signature certificate, you will require IEC code.

How a new person get a IEC now ?? I am worried about new people. Its really not ease in doing Biz.

Really old Online system of submitting without Dig Signature was much better, This would add more cost & raise more questions,

Looking forward for solution.

Sir,

In my view, DSC is not required for applying IEC.

DSC is required to file application online with DGFT for obtaining any kind of licence / Duty credit scrip etc.

Certifying authority can issue DSC on submission of application in prescribed form after obtaining IEC

Thank you very much for your reply, as per latest rules & notification of DGFT. DSC with class 2 or 3 is mandatory to file fresh application of new IEC online.

Offline mode is terminated.

Dear All,

I am applying for modification of IEC. Online application with DSC is mandatory.

I am advised that, for IEC application, the indivisual DSC (ie one normally used for Income tax purpose) shall suffice. No need for Class 2 / 3.

Is it correct?
