service tax on commission received foreign currecy

BABU.K rao

Sir

I am received commission in foreign currency from USA for the sale transaction from USA to Singapore lead provided by me. what is the service tax liability for this transaction.

thanking you

from

Babu

Export of service: commission in foreign currency may be outside service tax if place of provision is outside India. Commission received in foreign currency for arranging a sale may be treated as an export of service and not subject to service tax if the place of provision of service is outside India; however, definitive tax treatment depends on full factual details including parties, beneficiary, performance location and invoicing/payment terms.
