Dear Experts,

Is NN 51/90 CE(T) still enforced or rescinded ?? I am unable to decide as when i search for effective notification for the year 1990 the said notification is not appearing but at the same time i am also not getting any rescinding notification for the same. Either it should appear in effective notifications page OR there must be some info about its withdrawal / rescindment. Please help... How do you conclude whether any notification is alive or dead in such cases? It would be of great help

The Notification in question had been recinded by Notification No.71/95-CE dated 16.3.95 vide Sl. No. 51 of the said Notification.

Thank you so much Rajagopalan JI once again. but how did you came yo know in absence of any such information in said notification. I mean such info about rescindment should be reflected there in subject notification itself. Should i assume that all the notifications which are not appearing in effective tab has been rescinded ? please guide...

I found the rescinding Notification from ExCus Electronic Library released by Centax Publications, New Delhi which indicates whether a particular Notification is effective or rescinded. In TMI data base you should search for the rescinding Notification year wise which is a difficult job.
