Blank Endorsement

Shivaraj A

Hi All

I have LC in hand. It says 'FULL SET OF 3/3 CLEAN ON BOARD BILLS OF LADING PLUS 3 NON-NEGOTIABLE COPIES MADE OUT TO ORDER AND ENDORSED IN BLANK AND MARKED FREIGHT PREPAID....................'

Does above condition mean that the CONSIGNEE name in Invoice and Bill of lading should be left blank and we need to endorse in back side of Bill of lading ?

PLEASE CONFIRM.

Blank endorsement: query whether consignee is left blank and bill endorsed on back under an LC requirement. Query concerning interpretation of an LC clause requiring bills of lading 'made out to order and endorsed in blank,' asking whether the consignee field must be left blank and the bill endorsed on the reverse, and noting a forum reply requesting confirmation whether the issue was resolved.
