Hi All
I have LC in hand. It says 'FULL SET OF 3/3 CLEAN ON BOARD BILLS OF LADING PLUS 3 NON-NEGOTIABLE COPIES MADE OUT TO ORDER AND ENDORSED IN BLANK AND MARKED FREIGHT PREPAID....................'
Does above condition mean that the CONSIGNEE name in Invoice and Bill of lading should be left blank and we need to endorse in back side of Bill of lading ?
PLEASE CONFIRM.
Clarification Sought on Letter of Credit Condition Requiring Endorsement of Bills of Lading as Freight Prepaid A user inquired about the interpretation of a letter of credit (LC) condition, which specifies a 'full set of 3/3 clean on board bills of lading plus 3 non-negotiable copies made out to order and endorsed in blank and marked freight prepaid.' The user asked if this condition implies that the consignee's name should be left blank on the invoice and bill of lading, requiring endorsement on the back. A respondent, without providing a direct answer, asked if the issue had been resolved and requested further information if clarification was still needed. (AI Summary)
