of <h1>DGFT Updates Import Rules: Fabric Trims for Chindi Rugs Can Now Be Up to 10 Inches Without License.</h1> The circular addresses the import regulations for trim cutting waste or fabric trims used in manufacturing Chindi rugs. Previously, the width restriction for these materials was set at two inches, as per Circular No. 40/2007. Following representations from manufacturers, the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has recommended increasing the maximum width restriction to ten inches. Consequently, imports of such materials with a width of up to ten inches under heading 6310 will not require an import license, and field formations are instructed to implement this exemption.
