Foreign Trade Policy Update: New Note Added to SION Entries, Export Specifications Aligned with Foreign Buyer Orders.

The Director General of Foreign Trade has announced amendments to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. II, 2009-2014, under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14. A new note is added to the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for entries A-2687, A-2688, A-2689, A-2690, and A-3625. It specifies that the ITC (HS) Chapter 27 specifications do not apply to exports of these products if they meet the foreign buyer's specifications in the purchase order. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
